One of our most popular chess sets, the Heirloom Walnut Chess and Checkers Set offers a solid walnut wood board and highly polished pieces in light and dark tones. The pieces are fully detailed and have a towering 6 inch king height. A large 22 x 22-inch square playing area features a recessed board within the wood border to keep pieces inside should they get knocked over in a game of bullet chess or amidst a particularly animated takedown.
The board lifts off the cabinet to reveal individual compartments for convenient storage of chess pieces and checkers. The compartments secure enough to allow for the open display if one were so inclined.
