Bought for my grandson, an avid chess player. Nice looking board. Unfortunately, we will have to glue drawer handle on since it fell off even before 1st game was played

I opened the delivery box, the chess board was wrapped in a ripped foam case that has alot of tape around it.

I opened the foam case I immediately see the chess board (no other pre-packaging box).

I opened the chess drawers, the back of one of the drawer was already broken (photo attached). The other drawer was fine.

Inside the drawers, one set of the chess pieces was in an unopened clear plastic bag and they looks new. The other set of chess pieces the clear plastic bag was opened and retaped. Some pieces were sitting in the bag and some pieces were just left in the drawer - chipped (photo attached).

This is a Santa gift for my 10 years old son. I am so disappointed.

Big wonders if the company check their products before sending out to customers. If this chess set does not come with pre-boxing (as I received it), the defaults on this set is obvious & should it still be sent to customer in that condition??

I will not shop from this company again. I don't want another disappointmnt esp. at xmas time!

I purchased this for a Christmas gift my wife who suddenly expressed and interest in chess and wanted the gift to be more than a toy chess set. I opened the package to check for damage before wrapping it, when I open the drawers, both the knobs came off. The were not glued into the holes. I will glue the knobs and wrap it up and I think she will like it but I'm not sure the quality matches the price.

I love this set but I was thrown that the wood color is a lighter shade of tan than the picture led me to believe. The picture on-line made it look like it was a deep mahogany shade of wood rather than a more blondish shade. Also, the knob on one of the doors came off the moment I touched it, so that wasn't the best thing, but it attached right back on when I applied some pressure. Actually, I wanted to return it for the right shade of wood but my wife thought it looked great none the less so I am keeping it. In the future I would suggest making the picture match the product exactly.
