I bought the 20% smaller 16.5" version of this, made by Zaza & Sacci, but this set looks identical yet larger (which would be nice). No handle, but it's meant to sit on a table in your home. My only real complaint was that the leather inlaid points were a little sticky at first in mine, so the checkers didn't glide as smoothly as they did on the black field; but I hope this will improve over time, with play. I bought felt bags to hold the cylindrical dice cups, so they wouldn't roll around in the set when moving it.

oh my gosh, my husband and I just had a house built in the very lavish Short Hills, NJ and I had my interior decorator decorate my house she purchased this backgammon set and it sits open on my coffee table just as you would keep out a fine piece of china.......OK so to the point of this I had a house warming party more people commented on the backgammon set then my 900,000.00 home......I mean the Italians that made this set really paid attention to every detail.....get this the latches and hinges and YES even the skrews are 24K gold plate.........I love it I bought one for my dad for Hanunaka . I love it, love it love it!!!
